Carpentry Training for Youth

Unemployment continues to be one of the most painful challenges faced by our rural youth. Many of them, despite completing Madhyamik or even Higher Secondary education, remain jobless due to lack of vocational skills and financial support. Understanding this crisis, Nayagram Nawaj Trust initiated the Carpentry Training Program to empower underprivileged youth with practical skills and a pathway to self-reliance.
Carpentry Training for Youth
The program targeted Madhyamik-passed or less formally educated youth and offered hands-on carpentry training under the guidance of experienced professionals. Participants were taught essential techniques, safety practices, and real-world applications of carpentry through intensive practical sessions.
Today, many of these trainees are earning a steady income, supporting their families, and living with dignity. Some have even started their own small workshops, creating employment for others.
This program not only helps combat unemployment but also revives traditional craftsmanship and fosters confidence, purpose, and a sense of independence among rural youth.
