Nayagram Nawaj Trust recognizes the critical link between deforestation and drought. In several parts of our district, excessive tree-cutting has led to severe water scarcity, affecting agriculture, livelihoods, and daily life. To combat this growing environmental crisis, the Trust has launched a Free Plantation Program aimed at restoring ecological balance in drought-affected zones.
Through this initiative, saplings are distributed and planted along roadsides, in school premises, and in open barren lands. The program actively involves students, teachers, and community members to spread awareness about the importance of trees and the dangers of deforestation.
The Trust has also organized awareness rallies and processions with school children, encouraging environmental responsibility from a young age. These events not only spread knowledge but inspire collective action.
By promoting green cover and creating environmental awareness, Nayagram Nawaj Trust is working to reclaim the land from drought and ensure a greener, more sustainable future for the region.
