Survey, Identification & Awareness Generation for Persons with Disabilities

In an effort to uplift and empower persons with disabilities, Nayagram Nawaj Trust launched a comprehensive Survey, Identification, and Awareness Generation Program (AGP) focused on recognizing the rights and entitlements of differently-abled individuals. Many in remote rural regions are unaware of the benefits provided to them by the Constitution and the Government of India.
Survey, Identification & Awareness Generation for Persons with Disabilities
Our team conducted door-to-door surveys across the district to identify individuals with disabilities who were yet to receive any official recognition. We then organized awareness camps where these individuals were informed about their rights, legal protections, and welfare schemes available to them.
A panel of certified doctors assessed the level of disability for each participant and provided disability certificates along with identity cards. As a result, these individuals are now able to access benefits such as travel concessions, pensions, and reservations in education and jobs.
This initiative gave them a renewed sense of self-worth and opened doors to opportunities previously unknown to them.
